TBay United Media Upcoming Events in Churches around Town

On Friday, September 11, RAIN OR SHINE, Pinegrove is having their Welcome Back Corn Roast starting at 6:30 p.m. This event will be held inside and you're all invited.  Come and enjoy an ear or two of fresh Belluz Farm corn, along with some beverages and some goodies.  All are welcome. (Pinegrove is located at 100 Highway 130 – you can’t miss it – and there’s lots of parking.)

Bach and Boismortier, with cellist Peter Cosbey and flutist Doris Dungan, and bassoonist Aviner Hartwick. Admission at the door is $25; $15 students. 11 and under free.

Upcoming in Trinity Hall is the “Festival of Silent Films” with live improvised music provided by pianist Brue Vogt. This unique event has three different show times:

• Friday, September 18th at 7:30 – showing Charlie Chaplin “The Immigrant” and Buster Keaton “Our Hospitality”
• Saturday, September 19th at 2 pm – showing Charlie Chaplin “The Rink”, Buster Keaton “The Scarecrow” and Laurel & Hardy “The Battle of the Century”
• Saturday, September 19th at 7:30 – showing Charlie Chaplin “The Cure”, and Mary Pickford “Sparrows”

Festival pass is $40, available at Fireweed Crafts, 182 Algoma Street S. Single tickets will also be available at the door: general admission $15, children under 12 $5.

Trinity's Welcome Back Lunch will be served in Trinity Hall after the morning service. Hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and ice cream will make up the menu. A donation of $2.00 per person is requested, to defray expenses. A few fun activities and lots of prizes are planned. Friends and relatives are always welcome.
