On Sunday, April 27 Trinity will be hosting Gibson, Martin and I as our musicians for the service.  Rev. Kerry McLaughlin will be preaching and readers from Trinity and Pinegrove will be involved. The band will play 2 or 3 pieces as a Prelude which has to happen before our 10:30 start up.  Please come early to enjoy the music around 10:15!

Gibson, Martin & I is a bluegrass band from Thunder Bay that have been picking and singing for forty years. They are ambassadors of bluegrass having performed across the Northwest, in Manitoba and into the Midwestern United States. The band includes Bob Parisien on guitar, Jamie Gerow on Guitar, Bob Balabuck on banjo and mandolin, Ken Jacobson on fiddle and Dan McCutchon on bass. They have been well received in seniors' residences, schools and at country fairs. They also perform for multidenominational church services where they  present old time  gospel hymns and songs.

On Saturday, May 3rd, St. Andrew's Presbyterian will be having its annual Flea Market from 9:30am-1:30pm! Come check out a selection of books, clothes, Christmas and household items, plus refreshments, including hot dogs, coffee, tea, and pop! 207 S. Brodie St.

First-Wesley United is having a Bridge, Whist and Fashion Show & Luncheon on Wednesday, May 14 at noon.  Featuring looks by The Little Mermaid, Vanderwees, and The Lewk.  Tickets are $30  To reserve, call Kathleen at 807-577-1297.

Séan McCann, a founding member of the Canadian band Great Big Sea, will be performing a concert at St. Andrew's Presbyterian on Friday, May 23rd, at 7:00pm, as part of his “Great Big Canadian Road Trip” tour. Tickets can be purchased in advance, online at seanmccannsings.com. ($25 plus fees), or at the door ($40, cash only). 207 S. Brodie St.

The next movie night is planned for Friday, May 23. Come on out and enjoy an inexpensive evening as there is no cost for the movie but a small donation towards the popcorn and beverages would be appreciated. Movies begin at 7:00 pm but come earlier to get your refreshments. Friends welcome. Movie title will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
